Caviar & Bull: Something Catchy Goes After the Restaurant Name

Food: 7⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If your idea of a good meal is a well-delivered steak then this is the place for you. Cooking here is simple but well executed with an emphasis on beef and caviar as the name promises. There is a good selection of the latter, though obviously bring your biggest credit card. Prices range from €140 for 50g of Kaluga caviar to €410 for 50g beluga. Fortunately for the more price conscious, there are 5g spoons available ranging from €14 euros to €41, and there is a comparatively well-priced ‘journey of caviar’ which offers a 5g spoon of all five premium sturgeon caviars at €95 per person. Otherwise stick to the steaks, and order Wagyu (sold by weight) if you want to show off to your date. There are some other dishes for non-beef lovers such as duck, lamb, or even the odd fish. The house-made gravlax is to be recommended. Well-priced tasting menus are available from €80, including intermezzo sorbets and shots.

Atmosphere: 7⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Venue is well decorated, and has a plush and glamorous feel, though sadly no tablecloths. Window tables have a view of St. George’s bay and the modern buildings. Noise level is medium, there is a wooden floor. As you would expect at these prices the crowd is a mixture of well-heeled locals and tourists spending dollars.

Service: 8⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The waiting staff are largely Eastern European but efficient and friendly. Service can be relatively fast as preferred by American tourists but on request will be slowed down.
